A rich and robust Viking-inspired braggot with a perfect balance of honey sweetness and malty goodness. This hearty brew is sure to transport you to the rugged lands of the Norse warriors.
ingredients
- 3 lbs 2-row pale malt
- 3 lbs honey
- 1 oz Cascade hops
- 1 packet ale yeast
- 1 tsp Irish moss
- 5 gallons water
steps
- 1.
Heat water to 150°F, add crushed malt, and steep for 60 minutes.
- 2.
Remove grains, bring liquid to a boil, add hops and Irish moss.
- 3.
After 60 minutes, remove from heat, cool, and transfer to fermenter.
- 4.
Mix in honey, pitch yeast, and ferment for 2 weeks.
- 5.
Bottle and age for 2 months before enjoying.
