A flavorful apple chutney with a hint of jalapenos for a perfect balance of sweet and spicy.
ingredients
- 900g apples, peeled and diced
- 1-2 jalapenos, diced (seeds removed for milder heat)
- 240ml apple cider vinegar
- 200g brown sugar
- 140g raisins
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp ground ginger
- 1/4 tsp ground cloves
- 1/4 tsp salt
steps
- 1.
Combine all ingredients in a large pot.
- 2.
Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 1 hour.
- 3.
Stir occasionally.
- 4.
Allow to cool before transferring to sterilized jars.
- 5.
Seal and store in a cool place.
