Zesty Jalapeño French Toast Cheeseburger

Zesty Jalapeño French Toast Cheeseburger
ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef (80/20)
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp cayenne pepper
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 slices pepper jack cheese
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 8 slices bread (Texas toast recommended)
- 1/2 cup fresh jalapeños, sliced
- Butter, for cooking
steps
- 1.
In a bowl, mix ground beef, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper until well combined. Form four patties.
- 2.
In a separate bowl, whisk eggs, milk, vanilla extract, and cinnamon until smooth.
- 3.
Heat a skillet or griddle over medium heat and melt 1 tbsp butter.
- 4.
Dip each slice of bread in the egg mixture, coating both sides, then place on the skillet. Cook until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side. Replenish butter as needed.
- 5.
Meanwhile, cook beef patties in another skillet over medium-high heat for 4-5 minutes per side, or until fully cooked. Top each patty with a slice of cheese during the last minute to melt.
- 6.
In the last minute of cooking, add sliced jalapeños to the skillet with the burgers to soften slightly.
- 7.
To assemble, stack a cheesy beef patty with jalapeños on a slice of French toast, then top with another slice of French toast. Repeat for the remaining patties.
- 8.
Serve hot and enjoy!
