Sticky Sweet Date Laddus

- 1 cup pitted dates
- 1/4 cup water
- 2 tablespoons ghee (clarified butter)
- 1/2 cup almond flour
- 1/4 cup desiccated coconut
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cardamom
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/4 cup chopped almonds, lightly toasted
- 1/4 cup chopped cashews, lightly toasted
- 1/4 cup chopped pistachios, lightly toasted

In a small saucepan, combine the dates and water. Simmer over low heat for about 10 minutes or until the dates are soft and easily mashed.

Remove from heat and mash the dates using a fork or blend them in a food processor until smooth.

Return the date mixture to the saucepan, add ghee, and cook over low heat for 2 minutes, stirring continuously.
