These crisp and tangy dill cucumber spears are the perfect balance of zing and crunch. With a refreshing blend of vinegar, dill, and spices, they make for a great snack or addition to salads and sandwiches.
ingredients
- 4 medium-sized cucumbers
- 1 cup distilled white vinegar
- 1 cup water
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 2 tablespoons kosher salt
- 2 teaspoons dill seeds
- 1 teaspoon mustard seeds
- ½ teaspoon black peppercorns
- 2 garlic cloves, sliced

Slice the cucumbers lengthwise into quarters and set aside.

In a saucepan, bring the vinegar, water, sugar, salt, dill seeds, mustard seeds, peppercorns, and garlic to a boil.

Remove the saucepan from heat and let the brine cool for a few minutes.

Place the cucumber spears in a sterilized jar or container.

Pour the cooled brine over the cucumbers, making sure they are completely submerged.
