Tex-Mex Turkey Skillet
ingredients
- 1 lb ground turkey
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon taco seasoning
- 1 cup diced tomatoes
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup pickled jalapeños
- 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- 1/4 cup diced red bell pepper
- Juice of 1 lime
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Tortilla chips

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

In a large skillet, cook ground turkey over medium heat until browned.

Add diced onion and minced garlic and cook until softened.

Sprinkle taco seasoning over the turkey mixture and stir well to coat.

Add diced tomatoes and simmer for a few minutes until heated through.

Spread a layer of tortilla chips in an oven-safe skillet or baking dish.

Top with the ground turkey mixture.

Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the turkey mixture.

Bake in the preheated oven for about 10-15 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Remove from the oven and top with pickled jalapeños, chopped cilantro, sour cream, diced red bell pepper, and a squeeze of lime juice.
